Children’s Hospitals & Wish Granting: Disney has committed $100 million globally to enhance the patient experience in children’s hospitals.
Disney Conservation Fund: Established in 1995, this fund supports nonprofit organizations focused on protecting wildlife and restoring habitats.
Disney Volunteer’s: This program encourages employees to volunteer their time and skills to support local communities.
Employee Matching Gifts: Disney matches eligible charitable donations made by employees.
History shows that 38% of their giving goes to support Education, 17% goes to Arts & Culture and almost 12% goes to Health category.
Grants in recent years include:
$555,000 for California Institute;
$15,000 for Piedmont Choirs; and
$15,000 for USC Verdugo Hills Hospital Foundation.
The program is open to all high school seniors who are: – dependents of qualified us and global cast members (cast members are required to have completed 90 days of service of full-time employment prior to the application deadline, normally mid-February) – graduating from high school either in the spring or summer of the year when the scholarships would be awarded – planning to attend an accredited degree-granting two-year or four-year college or university or a trade school in the next academic year.
The foundation focuses on programs that bring happiness and hope to children and families, conserve nature, and develop lifelong conservation through nature exploration.
