Procedure:
Application guidelines are available on the foundation’s website – there are two sets of guidelines: Simplified Application Guidelines for small capital grants up to $15,000, and Standard Application Guidelines for grants greater than $15,000.
Those organizations applying for the small capital grant will not be considered if also applying for other types of grants. These types of grants are only administered once per year.
Applications should be submitted through the online application system, your organization must be registered before applying. Faxed or e-mailed applications will not be accepted.
When applications are assessed, the following objectives and criteria are used:
Specific benefits and contribution to the community or the province
Community support in the form of volunteers, contributions from other organizations, cash or in-kind support from corporate sponsors, individual donors, and your organization
Involvement of multiple partners in planning, doing, or evaluating the work
Support from people who know about the sector, the community, and/or the proposal
Significant need for Trillium funding and proof that the foundation is the appropriate funder
Greater access to activities, programs, or venues, including geographical, physical, cultural, or economic accessibility
Clear, measurable benefits to the community
Do not send videocassettes or CDs with your request.

Deadlines are as follows: March 1, July 1, and November 1 by 5:00 pm. Applications received after these dates will be considered for the next deadline.
