Limitations

The Foundation does not provide grants for funds that will be passed through to other organizations, sectarian or religious groups whose primary activity benefits only their members, long-term loans, debt retirement, or operational deficits.
It also excludes grants to institutions that discriminate based on race, ethnicity, sex, creed, or religion, as well as funding for propaganda or efforts to influence legislation and elections.
Grants will not be given to individuals for personal benefit or to those unauthorized to act on behalf of a qualified tax-exempt organization.
Additionally, requests for ongoing operations, existing staff, or the continuation of programs previously funded by other sources are rarely considered, along with organizations operating outside the U.S. or urgent/emergency funding needs. Endowments, revolving funds, and funds designated for beneficiaries chosen by the organization are also not supported.
