The Community Foundation seeks to build and manage the community’s permanent endowment and lead the community to strengthen the lives of its people. Leadership goals areas are academic achievement, economic prosperity, healthy ecosystems, healthy people, social enrichment and vibrant neighborhoods.
Established in 1922 in MI by resolution and declaration of trust; Incorporated 1989 – The governance of the foundation rests with twelve trustees who serve voluntarily without compensation for a term of four years. Trustees are limited in tenure to two consecutive four-year terms. Appointments are made by the Board of Trustees
