History shows that 20% of their giving goes to support Education, 19% goes to Environment and almost 18% goes to Social & Human Services category.

$400,000 for Grand Valley State University;
$315,000 for Davenport University;
$300,000 for Blandford Nature Center;
$150,000 for West Michigan Trails and Greenways Coalition;
$500,000 for Grand Action Foundation 2 0; and
$141,000 for Family Promise of West Michigan.
For community-based or regional projects, the foundation focuses on proposals from organizations and agencies serving Kent, Emmet or Charlevoix counties.
The foundation also accepts proposals from charitable organizations with a state-level presence or state government agencies whose proposal may have a direct impact on the Frey foundation’s geographic target areas.
