Procedure:
The Counselling Foundation of Canada asks that a Letter of Intent (maximum one page) be sent prior to submitting a full proposal. The foundation has a Letter of Intent form available on its website.
Guidelines must be obtained prior to submitting a request. A submission checklist and a sample proposal are available on the foundation’s website. Please include the following information within your proposal:
Registered charitable registration number
Cover letter signed by Chief Executive Officer of the organization
Project budget with revenue sources and all expenditures detailed according to the calendar year(s) and portion of calendar year
Audited financial statements for the last fiscal year and financial statements
List of Board of Directors and relevant Advisory bodies
Supporting references from community figures knowledgeable in the field
Letters of Intent are accepted year round. Full proposals, however, must be received at least one month prior to a scheduled board meeting, which occur 3 to 4 times per year. Please contact the foundation for board meeting dates.
