The Bonner Program:
Established in 1990, the Bonner Program provides service-based scholarships to students, enabling them to engage in meaningful community service throughout their undergraduate studies. The program operates on a four-year developmental model, emphasizing student growth in community engagement and leadership. It has expanded to include over 65 colleges and universities, supporting more than 3,000 students annually.
Crisis Ministry Program:
This initiative focuses on combating hunger by providing grants to local organizations, primarily in Central New Jersey and select other communities. The program aims to support efforts that address food insecurity and related challenges.
History shows that almost 92% of their giving goes to support Education, 3% goes to Social & Human Services and 2% goes to Religion category.
Grants in recent years include:
$75,000 for College of Nj;
$40,000 for Elijah’s Promise; and
$50,000 for Arm in Arm Better.
Geographical areas – within USA; kinds of institutions – qualified non-profit organizations.
The foundation aims to improve the lives of individuals and communities by helping meet the basic needs of nutrition and educational opportunity.
